The Arthur Family has been traveling to Concan all of their lives. Whether to visit family or just float the Frio, pilgrimages out to the edge of the Texas Hill Country have been our tradition for over forty years. Finally the time seemed right for the construction of a permanent place for establishing new traditions and memories for future generations of the Arthur clan.

Ladera Vista was built in early 2001. Four brothers: Christopher, David, Matthew, and Daniel Arthur formed a partnership to construct a cabin on the plot of land given them by their mother and father, Joyce and Pierce Arthur. After completion in the summer of 2001, the brothers decided to open the cabin to the public for rental. The cabin is managed by Frio Country Resort, a family oriented company that happens to be owned and operated by the family of Kenneth Arthur, brother of Pierce.
